Simultaneously with the government delegation’s visit to Kerman province, the second module of Kerman wastewater treatment plant was put into operation in November 2019 with the presence of the Minister of Energy, Dr. Ardakanian, and the CEO of Kerman Water and Sewerage Department, Mr. Taheri.

This phase of the project with a treatment capacity of 15,000 cubic meters of wastewater and groundwater per day, will cover a population of 150,000 people in the region.

At this stage, the operation of which had started in 1993, 133 km of collection network has been constructed and 9,000 branches have been installed.

It should be mentioned that in this project, the consulting engineers of Tarhafra have provided supervision services regarding the treatment plant and wastewater collection network since 2015.
